If you’d like to mint sketches to your own artist-owned contract, or collect sketches from other artists, you’ll need some Base ETH in your account.

How to send ETH on Base to your sketchbook wallet

• Go to the ensemble settings page, after signing in you’ll see the addresses of any connected external wallets and your Ensemble embedded wallet.
• Copy the address of the wallet you chose to use with your sketchbook.
• Use this address as the recipient when transferring ETH on base.

Minting a sketch usually costs ~$.01 - $.50, so a lot of Base ETH is not necessary!

How to get ETH on Base in the first place

• The most affordable way to get ETH on Base is to purchase it from Coinbase. You’ll first select and purchase ‘Ethereum’ and then select Base as the chain you’d like it on later.
• You can also Bridge ETH to Base from Mainnet Ethereum, but this comes with greater gas fees.
